Temperature-controlled transport
Our dedicated healthcare fleet and highly qualified carriers ensure that your products are transported under the right conditions. The temperature is monitored 24/7 at our control tower, where we track the location of your cargo in real-time. The control tower interacts with the driver and the trailer systems to ensure the optimum temperature and security at all times. Our European intervention contract allows us to respond swiftly to incidents. To further optimise flows, we have bi-temp trailers for ambient, cold and frozen transport. We also have a GDP-certified, cross-dock network for pan-European distribution that we can draw on to consolidate LTL cargo. Secured transport
From warehousing to transport, security is paramount at H.Essers, as evidenced by our TAPA TSR certification. In addition to 24/7 cargo monitoring by the control tower, we also have security trailers with electronic and remote locking systems, a panic button and theft sensor. Additionally, all trailers can be instantly identified from above, which makes H.Essers a dependable and trustworthy partner from door to door.
Warehousing
H.Essers is a dedicated supply chain partner with European warehousing facilities for healthcare products of all kinds, from vaccines and OTC medications to animal health products. We possess both GDP certification and all necessary authorisations from the Ministry of Health to ensure maximum security, all of our warehouses are equipped with alarm systems, personalised access controls in different security areas and camera surveillance. Multiple temperature zones (ambient, cold and frozen up to -80 °C) ensure that your products are stored at the right temperature. Our GDP-certified WMS provides full traceability of all movements inside the warehouse. We distribute your goods both regionally and globally from our European warehouses and provide a comprehensive solution for your supply chain.
Value added services
H.Essers is a one-stop shop for healthcare logistics with custom solutions in the form of value-added services. Our dedicated zones for repacking, relabelling and replacing leaflets allow us to carry out rework activities and late product differentiation. Our other activities include decommissioning products, tracking drug serial numbers and providing sample picking and storage. We also boast a dedicated handling area where we pack temperature-sensitive goods in thermoboxes for air and sea shipments. Augmented reality automatically determines the ideal stacking patterns for our thermobox products. The use of dry ice and liquid nitrogen allow for packing and shipping at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to -196 °C. In short, we can develop a reliable solution for virtually any challenge.

Hospital Logistics is a subsidiary of H.Essers that provides healthcare institutions with a one-stop shop for their logistics needs. Intermodal
H.Essers develops flexible, efficient and sustainable synchromodal transport solutions. Thanks to our own rail terminal, we provide GDP-compliant healthcare transport across a European rail network – including to and from destinations in Asia. Our hubs are connected synchromodally via barge, rail and road. We have also invested in our temperature controlled Coolbox, which was specifically developed for the healthcare sector and can be transported via road, rail, sea and inland waterway. GDP & GMP
As a reliable all-in logistics partner for healthcare products and APIs, we always work according to GDP and GMP guidelines. Your goods are stored and handled in GDP certified facilities (warehouses and cross-docks). Rework activities, including labelling, (re)packing and changing leaflets, are carried out in our GMP certified workspaces. In addition, our in-house Quality Management System is based on GDP and GMP guidelines. Regular audits by the Ministry of Health attest to our ongoing compliance.
