H.Essers wins tendering process BASF Romania

Two years ago H.Essers Romania started with storage, logistics and distribution activities for BASF Romania, now BASF announced that we won the new tender. The existing contract is prolonged for 3 years, starting 1-1-2012. We are very pleased with the prolongation and the expansion of this contract.

The expansion includes an increase of volume and activities, until now we transported the goods ( IBC’s) from the production plant in Ploiesti to our hub in Sibiu, stored them and did JIT distribution for West-Romania. In the near future we will, besides the storage in Sibiu and the deliveries to South Romania, also do the transportation from the factory in Ploiesti to North- and South-East of Romania.

The goods are IBC’s, filled with additives for the cement industry, deliveries are done with a tail lift trailer or by transferring the additives with a pump.

This contract is a nice way to end 2011 and a motivator to start 2012.
