H.Essers and Hessenatie Logistics Join Forces
H.Essers has completed the acquisition of Hessenatie Logistics. In February, H.Essers made an offer to purchase the shares of its logistics arm, Hessenatie Logistics, from its parent company and shipping group CMB in Antwerp. Hessenatie Logistics will now be integrated into H.Essers. This acquisition strengthens the family company in Genk, reaffirming its position as the leading logistics provider in Belgium.
With the integration of Hessenatie Logistics, H.Essers expands its logistics substantially, particularly in terms of specialised value added services. Hessenatie Logistics years’ of expertise and strong reputation for integrated supply chain solutions ensure even more value to customers. The acquisition provides H.Essers the opportunity to strengthen their position in several specific markets such as the chocolate industry, healthcare, banking and government.
The integration also provides many advantages for Hessenatie Logistics. The integration will provide additional H.Essers services to clients, including an extensive transportation network, intermodal logistics solutions, 850.000m² of warehouse space at headquarters and additional warehouses across Europe.
The acquisition of Hessenatie Logistics fits into the strategy of H.Essers, allowing the company to continue to grow in order to be the leading logistics providers in Europe. By joining forces, both companies benefit from each other's expertise and strengths.
