Warehouse Related VAL

Along with transportation, H.Essers also provides Value Added Logistics. These include H.Essers warehouses that are equipped with controlled access, camera and (FRIDEN) access. Our systems track your goods carefully, while our specially trained staff ensures the proper handling of your goods.

H.Essers has the skills and knowledge to a provide a wide range of customer-specific demands, including the following:

• Printing of Odette labels
• Custom labeling
• (Re) palletising
• Incoming / outgoing quality checks
• Repackaging
• Pick and packing up to unit level (with or without special equipment and products required)
• Preparation of orders for air shipment (IATA)
• Creating and applying shipping details for products

Administration

The administration team of H.Essers provides total administrative handling of all shipments. The team operates across all of our branches to provide the correct formatting and management of legally required documents, and if necessary, provide customer-specific administrative needs.

Within the legal framework (depending on the type of transportation and destination) H.Essers provides the following documents:

• CMR
• Packing List
• Delivery Note
• Invoices
• ATR documents
• ADR documents
• DGD (IMO)
• Tremcards
• Customs documents

Management of these documents can be done from within the WMS external systems. Our administrative office also has expertise with maritime and air procedures to ensure that all paperwork or the port of origin is expertly handled.

Inhouse Logistics

For selected customers H.Essers provides an in-house Value Added Logistics unit at the customer’s premises, this service is available in several European countries. Services range from standard to very specific logistics and include the know-how for necessary activities such as the transfer of bulk hazardous goods.

Customer Production Planning

H.Essers goes far beyond the basic task logistics activities. For selected customers, the production line is planned with the lead-time of transportation. In this way, H.Essers manages to achieve deadline-orientated production and delivery. This ensures optimum utilisation of warehouse space and optimal management of working capital.

Postponement Logistics

The application of "Postponement Logistics" relates to the final configuration/composition of products that are delayed until the specific order is determined. This new method results in more efficient management of the warehouse space, a reduction in delivery time and a decrease in transportation costs.
